Why Does It Seem Like the Near-Infrared LEDs Aren't Working?

Near-infrared light is invisible to the naked eye. All our devices are equipped with red light (660 nm) and near-infrared light (850 nm) as standard. If the red light LEDs work (this is the case when the lamps glow red), then the same should be true for the near-infrared LEDs. The only difference is that the eye does not perceive the light.

All devices can operate independently with red and NIR (near infrared), with the exception of the daylight lamp. One way to test the devices is to turn off the red light but leave the NIR light on. You should be able to see a very faint glow from the NIR LEDs.

Do I Need Safety Goggles?

Eye protection is not required, but we recommend not looking directly into the LEDs at first, as it can be uncomfortable until your eyes get used to the light. For this reason, we advise closing your eyes until you feel comfortable opening them.

Is Red Light Therapy Safe for Children?

Yes, RLT is also suitable for children! We recommend starting slowly, just a few minutes a day. Children should be observed to see how they feel. Do not leave children unsupervised with electrical equipment.

Do LEDs Make a Difference?

YES! By using LED technology, we can control the exact wavelength (color) and direction of the light, as well as the intensity of the red light therapy. All this is possible WITHOUT dangerous heat. Red light therapy is pleasantly warming and gentle on the body, but at the same time poses ZERO risk of burns when used according to our recommended protocols.

Important Note

Before first utilisation, please check your sensitivity to light. To do so, expose an area of your forearm to the red light, at a distance of 15 cm from the device for 2-3 minutes. If you notice redness, you may be photosensitive. If so, we recommend consulting your doctor before using your Radiance Light.
